Filippo Colarusso wins the Aprica race, the 4th of the Italian Enduro E-Bike, championship, but the first of the World Cup FIM GP of LOMBARDY.
Report Time – Five special stages for the fourth round of the FIM Italian E-Bike Enduro Championship, but first of all the first round of three of World Cup 2026, and the name at the top of the standings is always the same: Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria).
The 24-year-old from the Italian Moto Club Torre della Meloria takes his second consecutive overall victory in the Italian championship, also taking home the top step of the podium for his class, E1, riding his Olimpia E-Bike. Andrea Lucchini (Mondraker – MC Versilia Corse) tried to beat him all day for the Italian championship, second in all the PS of the first lap, and sometimes even with minimal margins, such as the 3”78 of the second PS, the Magnolta Trail.
The overall standings, therefore, behind Colarusso first and Lucchini second, saw Eric Anselmo with Christian Buniva (Thok – MC LA Guardia ASD) fourth and Giacomo Ferri (GASGAS – MC Calvari) fifth overall.
The World Championship rankings are very similar to the Italian ones but in this case we proceed only by classes. E1 witnessed Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia) triumph over Eric Anselmo (Thok) with Christian Buniva (Thok) third, and Buniva himself won the E1Junior ahead of Nicola Ferraresi (Raymon). Third class of the World Cup is E3 and in this case the victory ends up in the hands of Filippo Baldoni (Talaria) who is just 16”15 ahead of Marco Gnassi (Talaria) and Paolo Sottosanti (Talaria).
The top three in each of the three classes are obviously also the World Cup leaders and so they will show up for the next of the three scheduled matches: next one in Sardinia at the end of June, and the third, and last of the three in Cervinia, the 12th of July.
The splendid race valid for the World Cup and for the Italian championship ends with the words of the Sottosgretario for Sport and Youth of Lombardy, Federica Picchi: “As the Lombardy Region, we strongly believe in sport as an educational, social and economic lever. Disciplines such as downhills and e-bikes are able to speak effectively to new generations, combining passion, innovation and contact with nature, in a context that also promotes inclusion and respect for the environment”. The Councillor of the Municipality of Aprica, Alessandro Damiani, echoes her: “For us at Aprica it was important to host the event valid for the World Cup and the Italian championship precisely because it is part of a broader project to relaunch our station on the world of E-Bike, the Aprica Bike Land will in fact open for the first time this year and within this idea of experiencing our territory this event was truly a success for us”.
