FIM E-BIKE GRAND PRIX OF CERVINIA
ROUND #5 CAMP. ITALIANO E-BIKE ENDURO E COPPA ITALIA
CERVINIA – 12 JULY
The Italian Championship and the FMI Enduro E-Bike Italian Cup arrive in Breuil-Cervinia. It’ll be the last stage valid for the FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup 2026
Start Time – The Cervino Ski Paradise area, which offers over 100 kilometres of tracks for the two wheels, is once again hosting the FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup. And if last year the e-bike enduro FIM challenge arrived at the end of July, this time the gravity event will take place 15 days before, with the final stage scheduled between Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th. Started in Aprica, in the Orobie and Valtellina Alps, in early June and continued at the end of the month in Baunei, Sardinia, the World Cup now arrives in Breuil-Cervinia, where last year the same event took place with a single, one-off stage, divided into two days of competition.
Along with the international event, this year too there will be also the Italian Enduro E-Bike Championship, the Italian Cup and the Lombardy Regional Championship.
Traced entirely in the Breuil-Cervinia area, Sunday’s race includes a total distance of just over 41 kilometers – divided into two laps and 7 special stages – with an altitude difference of 1608 meters for the Italian Championship, while for all the others there will be 5 special stages.
After the start in the city center, the competitors will move on to the first Special Stage scheduled on Trail12. It will be a 3.7 km “fast” test, followed by a SS2, also “fast” – Cielo Alto – 1.4 km. The third SS of the day is scheduled on the Rock end Green Line, it is just over 2 kilometers long and will close the first lap of the Italian championship, while it will not be faced by the other categories, including the World Cup. After the break to recharge the batteries, the second lap will resume: four specials stages for the Italian riders, including the Fast bike in the 2.7-kilometer Bike Park, while the others will find Trail 12 on their route, followed by the Rock End Green Line and the closing Bike Park.
A great challenge that will prove decisive for the FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup currently captained in the E1 Class by Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria) who, with 45 points, leads on Eric Anselmo (Thok – MC La Guardia) second with 36 points. In third place Christian Buniva (Thok – MC LA Guardia ASD) with 29 points against the 25 of Andrea Lucchini (Mondraker – MC Versilia Corse) winner in Sardinia, and the 23 of Diego Calistri.
Christian Buniva is the leader of E1J, thanks to his two victories, he leads the group with 50 points while behind him, tied with 20 points, are Daniel Pessiu (Canyon) and Nicola Ferraresi (Raymon – MC RS77). In E2, the endurist rider, on loan to E-Bike, Manolo Morettini (Polini), who won in Baunei at the end of June, leads with 25 points, followed by Andrea Sassoli (E-Expert Fast Team) and Alessandro Nobile (Mondraker Crafty RRS – Ponte dell’Olio), who has 16 points.
A suggestive battle in E3 as the top two in the standings find themselves with the same number of points: 45 from a victory and a second place in the two previous races for both Marco Gnassi (Talaria – MC Gaerne) and Filippo Baldoni (T-Talaria – MC Versilia Corse). Behind them, equally an identical score, 29 points for Gaylord Soldevila (Arctic Leopard) and Paolo Sottosanti (Talaria – MC Sebino Camuno).
In the Italian Championship and the Italian Cup – which were not played in Sardinia – the standings are still stuck at the Aprica race. The Italian Championship Overall standing is dominated by Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria) who has 72 points against the 61 of Andrea Lucchini (Mondraker – MC Versilia Corse) second ahead of Eric Anselmo (Thok – MC La Guardia) who has 56 points against the 48 of Christian Buniva (Thok – MC LA Guardia ASD) fourth.
Everything is set on the tracks of Cervinia Bike Park which are now ready to welcome the Italian and international Enduro E Bike teams for a new challenge, in the shadow of the Gran Becca, far from the heat of the cities. Race participants will gather in Breuil-Cervinia on Saturday morning for the usual recce of the track.
