Baunei ready for Round 2 of the FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup
The GP of Sardinia gets underway tomorrow in Baunei, as the 2026 FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup arrives in Sardinia for the first time. Following today’s free practice, riders are set for five timed special tests across the technical trails overlooking the Mediterranean coast.
Saturday’s programme opened with the Enduro Day, while World Cup competitors completed their final free practice sessions on the special tests that will decide tomorrow’s race.
Five special tests on the schedule
The race starts at 09:00 from Santa Maria Navarrese.
The course features 1,596 metres of elevation gain and five timed special tests. Riders will tackle Locorbu (2.1 km), Scoine (1.33 km) and Surrele (2.56 km) on the opening lap before returning to the paddock. A second lap includes another run through Scoine and Surrele, with the podium ceremony scheduled for approximately 15:00.
Strong international field
Reigning FIM E-Bike Enduro World Champion Eric Anselmo leads the entry list alongside Steve Holcombe, four-time EnduroGP World Champion and nine-time class world champion.
The event will also feature two well-known names from other disciplines. Former Motocross World Champion Christophe Pourcel makes his competitive debut in the FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup, while former European and Italian road cycling champion Giacomo Nizzolo continues his transition to e-bike enduro competition.
Italian youngster Daniel Pessiu, racing on home soil, completes one of the most interesting line-ups of the season.
