ROUND #1 FIM EBK WORLD CUP APRICA

READY TO HEAD UP TO THE MOUNTAINS FOR THE FOURTH ROUND OF THE ENDURO E-BIKE AND THE ITALIAN CUP. THE RACE ALSO VALID FOR THE 2026 WORLD CUP

Start Time – Just two weeks after the race in Gallicano, Tuscany, the Enduro E-bike returns, this time in a double guise. The Aprica event will not only be valid for the Italian Championship and the FMI Italian Cup, but will also be the first of the 2026 World Cup in the specialty. Last year the world championship took place over a single event, in Cervinia, Italy, in July, but for this year the Italian and international federations have thought of something different.

Three World Cup events in total, to discover the names of the new 2026 winners, the first of which will be in Aprica on Sunday, June 7. This will be followed by an appointment in Sardinia, in Baunei, in the Ogliastra a region of Sardinia, at the end of June, and the last appointment again in Cervinia, as in 2025, but this time on July 12th.

Three events that the entire Enduro E-Bike staff has been working on for some time, precisely to prepare for three high-level races.

Starting with Aprica, a tourist location in the province of Sondrio that straddles Valcamonica and Valtellina: in this area, well known to mountain enthusiasts, a splendid 31-kilometer route has been prepared, divided into two laps and with an elevation gain of approximately 2,000 meters.

Five special stages are planned, four for the Italian Cup, starting from:

SS1, special stage 1 – A FAST called Palabione Valsorda (whose name derives from the most famous ski area of Aprica, close to the centre) of 4.5 kilometres;

SS2, special stage 2 – A POWER FAST called the Magnolta Trail (another famous ski area in Aprica, facing west) of 1.1 km;

SS3,Special stage 3 – A FAST named Pistone of one kilometre and half.

This will be the first lap, after which the athletes will return to the paddock to recharge their two wheels.

A stop of almost two hours and then off to the second lap which will open with the

SS4, special stage 4 – A 2.3-kilometer FAST named Valsorda.

The fifth PS will actually be the repetition of the Pistone, again one kilometer and half and will be the stage that will then bring all the competitors back to the paddock at the end of the race.

A challenging race, worthy of the World Championship commitment, which will also begin to more clearly outline the Italian Championship standings.

Filippo Colarusso

Starting from the Overall which currently sees Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria) in the lead with 52 points against the 44 of Andrea Lucchini (Mondraker – MC Versilia Corse) and the 41 of Eric Anselmo (Thok – MC La Guardia). Colarusso also leads the E1 Championship standings with a total haul –three wins out of three races– of 60 points: behind him Mirko Rodondi with 45 points and Nicolò Bonardi with 34 points.

Christian Buniva (Thok – La Guardia) leads the EJunior with his 57 points followed by Giacomo Ferri (GasGas – Calvari) absent in Gallicano, who can count on 34 points against the 30 of Nicola Ferraresi (Raymon – RS77), third.

In the EMaster there is Eric Anselmo (Thok – MC La Guardia) in the lead, also coming off three wins out of three, and therefore boasts 60 points against the 47 of his direct pursuer, Alex Costa (Elettrabike – Gentlemen’s Pinerolo) and the 45 of Diego Calistri (Olimpia – Torre della Meloria) third.

Andrea Lucchini (Mondraker – MC Versilia Corse) took the lead of ESenior, defeating Andrea Garibbo (Haibike – Versilia Corse), and the two are now separated by 14 points; Federico Ciucci (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria) is in third place with 35 points.

The first place in the EVeteran class belongs to Cristian Resinelli (Forbidden – RS77) with 47 points and just 7 points behind him is Stefano Rota (Whistel – RS77) with 40 points followed by Stefano Passeri who has 17 points as well as Andrea Rocchi (Amflow – MC La Guardia) and Graziano Sala.

In the Women’s category, EWoman, Sara Senini (Orbea – RS77) with three victories is on the top of the Italian rankings with 60 points and behind her we find Federica Rondinella (Elettrabike – Gentlemen’s Pinerolo) who has 49 points and Claudia Petrelli (Haibike – MC Versilia Corse) third with 30 points.

After the surprise in Gallicano for the EOpen victory of Diego Benassi (GoWow – MC Versilia Corse) the leader of the Championship standings is still Marco Gnassi (Talaria – Gaerne) with 57 points against the 45 of Giuseppe Vigani (Talaria – Lago D’iseo) and the 39 of Gianluigi Rudelli (SWM – MC RS77)

The battle for the 2026 victory in the E250 continues with Christian Romano (Specialized – Versilia Corse) first with 60 points and Giuseppe Facchinetti (Polini/Polini) second, 9 points behind, absent in Tuscany Davide Burini ((Polini/Polini – Lumezzane) can count on only two results and is actually stuck at 30 points.

In the Italian Cup, particularly in ECI1, there is a great battle given that the top two, Luca Ghisi (Scott MC Lago d’Iseo) and Davide Gandolfo (Haibike – Calvari) are only two points behind, 46 to 44, but they still have to be careful behind them because Alessandro Nobile (Mondraker – Ponte dell’Olio) with his 36 points, is not so far behind. In ECI2, Gabriele Racagni (Lapierre – RS77) boasts 57 points over Mauro Pergreffi (Mondraker – RS77) who with 52 points can still aspire to the top step of the podium: Alessandro Balugani (Orbea MCLa Quercia) is still third with a total of 32 points.

The battle between the Moto Clubs couldn’t be more heated: currently tied for the top spot, with 169 points, are Versilia Corse and RS77, but behind them there’s no joke with the 164 of Moto Club La Guardia ASD, which is also being chased 24 points away by the Torre della Meloria.

Everything is ready in Aprica for the weekend, at about 1200 meters above sea level, for E-Bike Sunday: registration is still open and will close tomorrow, Thursday, June 4th.
