The FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup shines in the blue sky of Breuil-Cervinia. Filippo Colarusso and Manolo Morettini are the stars of the final round of the World Cup FIM
Report Time – In Italy it exists a song, of Vasco Rossi, sang a Splendida Giornata and today his song could definitely have been the backdrop for the final round of the 2026 FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup. Because it was truly a magnificent day, with Breuil-Cervinia kissed by the sun from the first light of dawn and with a temperature and blue sky that would make all of Italy envious. And then the race, beautifully managed by the men of the Bike Park and by the words of all the participants commendable and unforgettable.
Over 40 kilometers of track with seven special stages that allowed no respite, putting even the best riders to the test. Andrea Lucchini (Mondraker – MC Versilia Corse) knows something about this and after winning the first SS of the day in the second stage he literally exploded the back rim on a sharp stone and was forced to retire. At that point his opponents went wild and both Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria) and Manolo Morettini (Polini) competed stage after stage with first and second places, then arriving at the final podium both with first place for their respective classes, the E1 World Cup for Colarusso and the E2 for Morettini, while in the Italian the Torre della Meloria rider wins the E1 and the Polini rider takes the E250.
The Cervino Ski Paradise area today hosted not only the competitive Enduro E-Bike but also many people who came to enjoy the beautiful day, perhaps on two wheels, who willingly stopped to follow the competition until the afternoon when the final podium for the World Cup followed by that of the Italian Championship –which will conclude in Sestri Levante on 11th of October – closed a day that will remain in the memory of all the athletes for a long time.
A few crashes and some technical problems slowed down the race a little bit during today’s seven special stages but almost all the competitors managed to reach the finish line, and many of them out of breath, also thanks to the altitude of the course traced by the Bike Patrols of Cervino Ski Paradise.
The World Cup ends after three races on the Breuil-Cervinia tracks and on the podium for 2026 Filippo Colarusso (Olimpia – MC Torre della Meloria) climbs for E1, winning over Eric Anselmo (Thok – MC La Guardia) with Christian Buniva (Thok – MC LA Guardia ASD) third – but the day’s standings see Buniva second over Anselmo; for E2 on the top step of the World Cup podium is Manolo Morettini (Polini) gold medalist ahead of the silver of Andrea Sassoli (E-Expert Fast Team) and the bronze of Alessandro Nobile (Mondraker Crafty RRS – Ponte dell’Olio) who from the next race in Sestri Levante will return to race in the Coppa Italia 1, and the podium of the day is the exact photocopy of the FIM ranking.
In E3, Filippo Baldoni (T-Talaria – MC Versilia Corse) took the gold medal on the final podium of the FIM World Cup, while Marco Gnassi (Talaria – MC Gaerne) took silver and Frenchman Gaylord Soldevila (Arctic Leopard) managed to take the bronze medal at the end of a race that had the exact same classification as the day. In the E1J the gold medal went to Christian Buniva (Thok – MC LA Guardia ASD) while the silver went to Daniel Pessiu (Canyon – MC MMXMaggiora Motocross) and third for the FIM was Nicola Ferraresi (Raymon – MC RS77) absent in the last two races but still managed to take the FIM bronze medal thanks to Aprica’s result.
